Peanut Butter & Coupons

Happy National Peanut Butter Lover's Day! I think it's kind of silly there are TWO peanut butter holidays, but I'm a big peanut butter fan so when I saw today was PB Lover's Day, I decided to swap out the yogurt bowl I had planned to eat for breakfast and have something peanut-buttery instead.

I topped another piece of my Red Hen whole grain bread with some PB2, half a sliced banana, a drizzle of honey and a sprinkle of nutmeg. I used to love this breakfast growing up, and it's still delicious!

Speaking of PB2, I just scraped my last jar clean and ordered a few more from iHerb.com with a coupon I got from Courtney's blog. I usually order my PB2 from Netrition.com, but with the coupon to iHerb I basically got a jar for free. Can't beat that! Now iHerb's giving me a coupon to share with all of you. Just use the iHerb coupon code "WIM195" before checkout, and you'll receive an instant $5 discount on your first iHerb order. They have tons of products, so if PB2 isn't your thing, you're bound to find something there you like. Happy shopping!

  1. mel, i'm intrigued about this powdered peanut butter! i'm a pb freak and have kicks when i crave a pb sandwich daily, but i hate that normal peanut butter has so many calories! i'm def going to try it out. do you have any other product suggestions that you get from iherb or netrition?? i'm a sucker for new food stuff :)

    1. Hey Jess, definitely try the PB2! I started using it for the same reason...I love peanut butter, but can't allow myself to eat it all the time since it's so fattening. I use the PB2 on toast, on graham crackers, in protein shakes, and even on top of frozen yogurt. They make chocolate PB2 too, which is also delicious. As far as other products I get there, I also buy my protein powder from Netrition because they don't sell my brand at GNC (Iron Tek Essential Natural...it has more protein and fewer calories and sugar than other brands). I also get carba-nada pasta from Netrition; it's made with soy so is low in carbs but high in protein. As for iHerb, I haven't shopped there much but I know that other bloggers buy a lot of their grains and things from there. Hope that helps! If you have any product suggestions for me too, let me know! I love trying new stuff.

And we will be there Sat night, I would love to chat blog stuff with you! :)

  3. I didn't know that there was a national peanut butter day!!! Your breakfast looks yummy, definitely reminds me of when we were kids, typical mom breakfast :-)

Glad that I got you hooked on PB2!! It's the most amazing thing ever.
