South Beach Night Out

Day two in South Beach started with warm breezes and an al fresco breakfast overlooking the ocean.

I ordered an iced coffee and a "Broken Yolk" sandwich with fried eggs, cheddar cheese and avocado on sourdough bread. I swapped out the side of hash browns for a side of fruit salad. All the girls also ordered Bloody Mary's "to go" for sipping pool side. :)

The Bloody Mary was unfortunately waaaay too spicy to drink. I love spicy Bloody's, but this was over the top. After each sip I had to take a long break until my throat calmed down, and after a few sips I just dumped it out. The sandwich, on the other hand, was delicious. I ended up eating it every morning.

I also ordered fruit every morning, and then let it go to waste every afternoon.

Cold fruit sounded so good in the warm sunny weather, but I was always too full to eat it after my sandwich and put it in a to-go cup for a snack later on. Then it would sit in my beach bag all day until it got hot and gross and I would eventually throw it out. Every.single.day. It's safe to say the only fruit I ate on the trip was in my coladas and daiquiris.

After breakfast we headed on down to the beach for a whole day of relaxation.

A cabana, soft sand, warm water, sunshine and beach servers bringing cold drinks right to our chairs. Does life get much better?

Only when you add in a giggly group of girlfriends you've known for the last 10 years. We all went to college together and have so many great memories to laugh about. I love that we keep making great new memories every year that goes by.

Even though there are only a few more girls left in the group who have bachelorette parties ahead of them, we've all decided that an annual girls weekend is a must. We'll just have to find something else to celebrate so we can all go to South Beach again next year!

After a long relaxing beach day and a late lunch/early dinner by the pool (calamari to share, and then the same Cobb Salad but with shrimp this time for me)...

it was time to get ready for Nicole's big night out!

The Future Mrs. Walsh! She's going to make such a pretty bride. And a fun one. :)

The bridal party had made a table reservation for us at Rokbar, which played great music ranging from salsa to hip hop to house. We danced the night away and had a fabulous time. Hope you had a great night out, bride-to-be!

  6. Woah! I'm really enjoying the template/theme of this site. It's simple,
yet effective. A lot of times it's challenging to get that "perfect balance" between user friendliness and visual appeal. I must say you have done a fantastic job with this. Additionally, the blog loads super fast for me on Internet explorer. Superb Blog!
